Hi! I'm Bailee, a wedding hair and makeup specialist and the creator of Coastal Editorial Glam™ and The Bailee Wave + Sculpt™.
Congratulations on your engagement!
If you’re newly engaged and starting to plan your wedding, one of the first (and biggest) decisions you’ll make is choosing your venue.
Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular destination wedding locations in the United States, and for good reason. Between oceanfront resorts, historic landmarks, and beautiful golf course properties, couples have a huge range of venue styles to choose from.
When I was planning my own wedding, I spent hours researching venues in the area. At the time, I wished there had been a single guide listing the best wedding venues in Myrtle Beach.
So I made one.
Whether you’re dreaming of a beachfront ceremony, an elegant ballroom celebration, or a romantic garden setting, these venues consistently stand out.

This one is a personal favorite — it’s actually where I got married.
White Oaks Farm is a stunning venue just outside Myrtle Beach that blends modern elegance with beautiful open landscapes. One of the things couples love most about this venue is the variety of ceremony locations available across the property.
The large metal frame used as a ceremony backdrop has become a signature photo spot, and it photographs beautifully in every season.
For couples looking for a venue that feels polished but still relaxed, White Oaks is a fantastic choice.
If you’re looking for something refined and upscale, 21 Main at North Beach is one of the most elegant venues in the Myrtle Beach area.
This venue is known for exceptional cuisine and a luxurious atmosphere. Couples can host intimate gatherings or larger receptions with up to 250 guests.
One bonus many couples love is the nearby spa — perfect for pre-wedding relaxation or a bridal party pampering session before the big day.
It’s a beautiful option for couples planning a sophisticated destination wedding along the coast.

Kingston Resorts is one of the largest wedding venues in the Myrtle Beach area, offering multiple ceremony and reception locations throughout the property.
Couples can choose from beachside ceremonies, lawn venues, or elegant ballrooms depending on their wedding vision.
One of the standout features is the 16th-floor oceanfront ballroom, which gives couples incredible views of the Atlantic while still protecting the event from wind or weather.
This venue is ideal for couples planning larger celebrations or destination weddings with many guests traveling in.

The Marriott at Grande Dunes is a favorite for couples looking for a luxury resort wedding experience.
The property offers both oceanfront ceremony options and elegant indoor ballrooms for receptions. The resort also includes a full spa, which many bridal parties love for pre-wedding relaxation.
With professional event planning staff and beautiful coastal views, this venue consistently delivers polished and well-organized weddings.
The Marina Inn offers a completely different atmosphere from the typical beach wedding venue.
With its Tuscan-inspired architecture, marina views, and elegant ballroom, it feels refined and romantic.
Couples can host ceremonies on the Grande Lawn before moving into the Nautilus Ballroom for their reception. The venue can accommodate both large celebrations and smaller intimate weddings.
For destination couples looking for a venue that feels upscale without being overly formal, this is a fantastic option.
If you’ve ever dreamed of getting married in a castle, Atalaya Castle is one of the most unique wedding venues in South Carolina.
Located inside Huntington Beach State Park, this historic Moorish-style castle offers an unforgettable backdrop for weddings.
The architecture alone makes the venue incredibly distinctive, and the surrounding park provides beautiful scenery for wedding portraits.
For couples looking for something truly different, Atalaya Castle is hard to beat.

While technically located in Pawleys Island, The Reserve Golf Club is close enough to Myrtle Beach to make the list.
This private golf club offers beautiful landscapes, elegant event spaces, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
Couples can host ceremonies overlooking the golf course before moving inside for a reception. It’s also a great location for pre-wedding activities like golf outings with the wedding party.

Caledonia is one of the most photographed venues in the entire area.
The property features century-old live oak trees draped with Spanish moss, creating an incredibly romantic Southern setting.
Originally part of a historic rice plantation, the venue offers several ceremony locations along with a beautiful clubhouse for receptions.
For couples who love classic Southern charm, Caledonia is an incredible choice.

Debordieu Colony is one of the most exclusive coastal communities in the region.
Couples can choose between elegant clubhouse events or more relaxed beachfront celebrations. Live Oak Lane is one of the most popular ceremony locations, thanks to its dramatic oak trees and coastal atmosphere.
It’s a fantastic venue for couples looking for a private, scenic setting near the ocean.

For couples dreaming of a true beachfront wedding ceremony, Bay Watch Resort offers one of the most straightforward oceanfront setups in the area.
Ceremonies can take place directly on the sand, followed by receptions in the resort’s large ballroom space.
With in-house catering and guest accommodations on-site, it’s a convenient option for destination weddings with traveling guests.

Choosing your venue is one of the biggest steps in planning your wedding.
Once that decision is made, everything else — from décor to photography to bridal beauty — begins to fall into place.
