Mistake no. 1

Not Booking Your Hair Stylist Soon Enough in Advance

Seriously. This should not be one of the last things on your wedding to-do list. All of the best wedding hair stylists book months and years in advance. Book your beauty services anywhere between 12-24 months before your wedding. You’ll be happy that you did.

Mistake no. 2

Not Choosing Realistic Inspiration Photos

Is it similar to your hair color? Length? Texture? Density? If the answer to any of these is “no” you gotta keep looking sister. Picking photos with hair that is very similar to your own is the easiest way to ward off major disappointment for your wedding hair preview appointment and on your wedding day.

Mistake no. 3

Showing Up with Dirty Hair

I don’t know where this myth came from but it definitely needs to go back. This is one of the most untrue things when it comes to your wedding hair, or any event hair for that matter. Wash your hair the night before or the morning of your wedding. It will make it easier on your wedding hair stylist and on you.

Mistake no. 4

Not Having an Opinion on What Bridal Hair Style You Want

I love my brides. I promise I do. See what I did there. I do. Anyways, this makes us want to pull out our hair. I understand that you trust your stylist fully, but give us a little something. Do you like braids? Buns? All down? Half up half down? Please let us know. I’m begging.

Mistake no. 5

Not properly prepping your hair

Not Taking the Style of Your Wedding Dress into Consideration

There is absolutely no reason to wear your hair all down when you have so much gorgeous detailing on the back of your dress. Why would you want to cover it up?
