Look for a Specialist, Not a Generalist

There’s a difference between someone who can do bridal…
and someone who is built for it.

You want someone who understands:

• Southeast heat + humidity
• Fine hair that won’t hold shape
• How makeup reads in natural light + flash
• Timelines, pacing, and real wedding mornings

Search like this:

• “Bridal hair and makeup specialist”
• “Hollywood waves bridal”
• “Editorial airbrush bridal”
• “[Your location] bridal HMUA”
• “Wedding hair and makeup artist”

Then actually study their work.

Not one good photo.
Consistency. Is there too much variation. in their portfolio? Move to the next artist.

Look closer:

• Does the skin still look like skin?
• Are the waves structured or already separating?
• Does every bride look the same?
• Is the makeup sitting on the face or blended into it?
